A variety of spaces can be tailored for your function from a 280-seat event center to various sized galleries and rooms. The Dahl's contemporary design and four visual art galleries will add excitement to any artful celebrations.

John T. Vucurevich Event Center

The John T. Vucurevich Event Center is one of the city's most versatile multi-use spaces. From weddings and large cocktail style gatherings to exquisite dinners, performances, presentations and panel discussions, the Event Center can be the showcase setting for your event. As with all spaces, our professional planning staff will customize the Event Center to your needs, enhanced by the beauty 
of the Dahl. The Event Center features a grand over-sized window with views of downtown Rapid City, black velvet curtains throughout and a polished cement floor. Add the exclusive use of the lobby and galleries to complete your artful celebration.

  • Over 3,000 sq. ft. with 18 ft. high ceiling
  • Stand-up capacity - 468
  • Seating capacity - 280, with many custom configurations
  • Built-in sound system and adjustable area lighting

Mark & Carolyn Mollers Cyclorama Mural Room

An intimate space surrounded by art, perfect for private events, wedding ceremonies, dinners, cocktail receptions, holiday parties and evening corporate receptions.  We offer creative, immaculately designed details that make any event – small or large, casual or elegant – an unforgettable experience. Use the historic Cyclorama of American Economic History mural as your backdrop or opt for cream colored drapery.

Bruce H. Lien Cultural Cafe & Gallery

The Bruce H. Lien Cultural Cafe & Gallery is a versatile space, perfect for intimate gatherings, receptions or small buffet-style parties where the accent is on customization. Large windows provide views of downtown Rapid City and extraordinary ambient light. Artworks from up-and-coming Emerging Artists provide a unique atmosphere for any occasion.

Linda K. Anderson Conference Room

Located on the 2nd floor, the Linda K. Anderson Conference Room features large windows, views of downtown Rapid City and a flexible meeting space to accommodate off-site meetings, workshops, lectures and luncheons. This versatile room includes tables that can be easily reconfigured for small or large groups. 

Specifications:
  • Seating capacity - conference style 16; rowed seating 40
  • Internet access, white board; projector available
  • Use of small kitchenette

Classrooms

Spaces you can make a mess in! These classrooms are designed for hands-on art. Large windows make spaces bright and inviting with an urban view. Host a custom birthday party, custom class or private lesson, more information here. All classrooms have internet access and make a great space for small presentations or meetings.

BankWest Classroom: multi-purpose room, large windows with urban view of downtown Rapid City, sinks, tables and chairs.


First Interstate Bank Classroom: designed for painting, equipped with air extraction fans, blinds for privacy, track lighting and sinks; easels, chairs, tables, stools and model platform available.

Pottery Classroom: specialized classroom equipped with 9 pottery wheels, slab roller, work tables, locker storage, drying racks, glazes and kiln firings...it's yours to utilize. More information about our Open Pottery Studio here.
