The Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) is thrilled to announce Reflect, a new community photography competition and exhibition that invites photographers to explore the concept of reflection in creative and thought-provoking ways. Inspired by the Latin word "Reflectere," meaning "to bend back," this juried exhibition encourages submissions that capture the literal and metaphorical essence of reflection—whether through shimmering water, mirrored glass, or introspective themes of identity, growth, and community. Open to photographers of all skill levels.

​Photographers are invited to submit their work in three distinct categories: 

• Youth Category: 1st Place: $75; 2nd Place: $50; 3rd Place: $25
• Adult Amateur/Hobbyist Category: 1st Place: $75; 2nd Place: $50; 3rd Place: $25
• Adult Experienced/Professional Category: 1st Place: $100; 2nd Place: $75; 3rd Place: $50

Additional honors include a Best of Show Award with a $125 prize and a People’s Choice Award, which comes with a $100 prize.

​Selected works will be showcased at the Dahl Arts Center from March 13 to May 3, 2025, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on March 13, 2025. Thank you for sharing your unique perspective and being a part of Rapid City’s vibrant photography community!
