k-12 art teachers Call for art

K-12 Art Teachers Call for Art
January 22, 2027 - April 8, 2027

We invite K-12 art educators from across the Black Hills region to submit artwork for an exhibition celebrating the creative practices of those who teach. Inspired by the Teachers as Artists exhibition at the Washington Pavilion in the spring of 2026, this exhibition aims to highlight the teachers who help inspire our students in the classroom to continue to make art.

Art educators play a vital role in shaping how our students think, create, and engage with art. Every day, they model curiosity, experimentation, and self-expression for their students. Oftentimes, their own creative practices are less visible.
This exhibition aims to bring those practices into the spotlight and recognize these educators not only as teachers but as artists and active participants in a creative profession.
