ARTS PARTNERS PROGRAM

Picture

Empowering the Arts in the Black Hills Region

Artists, arts groups, arts-related businesses and community organizations can partner with the
Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) to help us advocate for the arts, while taking advantage of a variety of marketing and support services.

Less than $10 a month!

Through our Arts Partners program, we strive to provide leadership in the artistic community with both individual artists and arts groups. By empowering your work with knowledge and support, we advance the arts in the community as an essential public benefit.

KNOWLEDGE: The RCAC strives to help area artists share and apply knowledge about serving the public effectively; connects with area artists, making the collective experiences and wisdom of the field a resource for everyone; and widens understanding to embrace both the differences and similarities among artists, promoting our common cause.

REPRESENTATION: The RCAC provides representation for area artists, ensuring their interests have a persuasive voice; advances the value of area artists, bringing visibility and recognition to their accomplishments; and champions the arts as a having a vital role in American cultural life that needs to be embraced and funded.

COMMUNITY: The RCAC knows that participation in a rewarding and welcoming professional community strengthens the arts. We provide research and education services to inform and inspire, empowering the arts in all forms; as we work to broaden access to the arts for under-served communities.

Annual Arts Partners membership fee: $100.

Benefits of membership include...

  • PRESS RELEASE SERVICES: Need to get the word out? Our free-to-partners email list service consists of over 100 television, radio and newspaper contacts.
  • DOWNTOWN POSTERING:  Promote your upcoming event! One of our volunteers can get your poster up at 25+ popular downtown restaurants, coffee shops & businesses, getting you the exposure you need to sell tickets. (Please provide materials at least 2 weeks in advance of what you would like to promote, so we can work it into our schedule and make sure you get the exposure you're wanting!)
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: The RCAC hosts a variety of workshops, seminars and classes to help artists and arts organizations with their professional development.
  • TICKETING SERVICES: Not only can we design and print your tickets, the RCAC can serve as your ticket sales outlet, so be sure to take advantage of our ticketing services at reasonable rates.
  • COPIER & FAX SERVICES: Take advantage of the convenience of our low cost in-house copy and print facilities, plus free local faxes and scans.
  • ADVERTISING SUPPORT: Provide a write-up and photos of your events at the Dahl, and we will post free on the Dahl/RCAC website and online events calendar, plus include them on our printed calendars and weekly ArtMail eblast.
  • DESIGN SERVICES: Need help producing a newsletter, poster, brochure or tickets? Our design staff can provide you the support you need at a price you can afford.

On behalf of the Rapid City Arts Council, the Dahl staff, Board of Directors, and our volunteers, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and thank the City of Rapid City for their ongoing support of our organization. It is because of support like this that we are able to continue to fulfill our mission to champion inclusive, innovative and inspired arts opportunities to enrich the communities we serve.

The Rapid City Arts Council receives support from generous members and donors, the City of Rapid City,  SD Community Foundation, and the South Dakota Arts Council with funds from the State of South Dakota, through the Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts. Special thanks to Bierschbach Equipment and Supply and Dakota Business Center, Carter Taylor.
