The Rapid City Arts Council offers three different types of Scholarships
Ardath D. Rypkema Memorial Trust ( K- 12 Students)
The Ardath D. Rypkema Educational Memorial Trust was established to match or provide tuition assistance for students to enroll in visual or performing arts classes at the Dahl Arts Center. Scholarships are open to enrolled Rapid City School District students in K-12 grades. Interested students should fill out application with their parents and return it to the Rapid City Arts Council/Dahl Arts Center (RCAC/Dahl) two weeks before the start of the selected class. Selection is based on financial need, artistic ability/interest, educational need or potential. Preference is given to students with financial need.

Lawrence Beste Fine Arts Memorial Scholarship (High School students)
Closed for 2016
A $458 Lawrence Beste Fine Arts Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one (1) Rapid City student for use in the 2016-2017 academic year.
The student must: 1) be a high school senior majoring in one of the fine arts disciplines (creative writing, dance, media arts, music, theater, or visual arts) at a college, university, or professional arts school; 2) have maintained a 3.2 overall grade point average in high school; 3) give evidence of acceptance at the college or institution on choice.
