2013 WINTER MUSIC SERIES

Popular annual music series returns for 2013. Three diverse concerts, over three months, with four distinct sounds, in support of the Rapid City Arts Council's arts programs.

DAHL MOUNTAIN CULTURE FESTIVAL

April 12 - May 11, 2013

Celebrating art + mountain culture - the festival is jam packed with events and culminates with the Banff Mountain World Tour Film Festival.

ALL MY PLASTIC PEOPLES ART SHOW + AUCTION

This show is bound to bring out the kid in all of us! Over 100 original Kidrobot Do-it-Yourself vinyl toys will be decorated by artists in the community, and auctioned off, with all the proceeds from the event going towards  youth arts programming!

ART INSIDE OUT

August 3, 2013

Art Inside Out is an urban art festival that includes plein air (painting outdoors) painting and sketching and wet sale, sidewalk chalk murals, community art scavenger hunt, trading card art show and workshop, etc. This new family friendly event will be held outside and encourage active arts experiences in downtown Rapid City. 

2nd ANNUAL SKATEBOARD ART SHOW + AUCTION

Bringing the vibrant art and skateboard communities in and around Rapid City together to showcase creative genius on unfinished decks. Last year over 40 artist participated ranging from 13-40, donating their work for an auction in support of children’s arts education. A fresh, edgy experiment with delightful results!

EMERGING ARTISTS FRIDAYS

Every Friday | 5 - 7pm | Bruce H. Lien Cultural Cafe

Celebrating local and regional performing artists on the rise, and providing a nurturing place for them to be seen, to be heard, and to grow. 

Kick-start your weekend! LIVE MUSIC, FREE admission, cash bar - Every Friday night between 5–7pm in the Bruce H. Lien Cultural Café @ the Dahl (Kansas City Street entrance).

SATURDAY ART ADVENTURES

Every 2nd Saturday of the month | 1 - 3 pm

Free family oriented art activities, performances, demonstrations, and guided tours of the galleries will give your weekend a jump start and satisfy your creative needs. Each month offers a new variety of activities and entertainment on a theme.
