Mountain Fool's Party & Dance

Sat, April 18, 2009, 7pm

Tickets: $35 per person

John T. Vucurevich Event Center
at the Dahl Arts Center

Save the date for the 4th Annual Fool's Party which benefits kids arts programs at the Dahl. The 2009 theme is Mountain Fools. People are encouraged (but not required) to wear mountain costumes. Dress as your favorite mountain explorer, sherpa, hiker, envionmentalist, someone who just climbed out from under a rock, extreme skier (leg cast optional), miner or plain old gold digger!

This year’s party features a cash bar, appetizers and rockin' good time by DD & The Fayrohs with special guest Ricky Jacobsen. Ricky is most notable for his performances as the keyboard/accordion man from Deadwood Songbook shows. The price for a table of 8 is $280.00 or $35 per person. Table sponsors are all recognized on the website, in the program, verbally at the event and on each table.

The annual Fool's Party is a casual, fun-filled event which raises money for a great cause. Proceeds from the event helps the Rapid City Arts Council to present low and no cost events, like Saturday Art Adventures and the new Kid’s Interactive Gallery. The art adventures, which feature hands-on art activities, games and tours of the galleries, are free to all kids and their families or caregivers. The Kid’s Interactive Gallery features artwork by kids, as well as activities that help kids learn about the art in the galleries. The need for good, family-friendly activities for children from families of all income level is increasing in Rapid City.

If we can count on you to party with us, either by purchasing individual tickets or as a table sponsor, please email me or darla@thedahl.org (Darla Drew Lerdal). Can't come? Consider a donation to the cause.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting this “foolish” event. In this economy, everybody needs a little fun and at the Dahl, we're determined to provide it.

All tickets $35, includes hors d’oeuvres and concert.
