Arts Scholarships

The Rapid City Arts Council is pleased to announce the Lawrence Beste and Margaret Mary “Peggy" Langenfeld scholarships applications are now begin accepted from area teen at local public and private high schools.

 

$500 will be awarded to the recipient of the Lawrence Beste Fine Arts Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to an eligible high school senior who plans to major in one of the fine arts disciplines and has maintained a 3.2 overall grade point average.

 

The Margaret Mary “Peggy” Langenfeld Scholarship is one of the few scholarships available in this area to young music or dance students in grades 8 through 12 and must be used for advanced training in one of these to disciplines.  This year the $500 has been designated to the scholarship recipient.

 

The due date for scholarship applications is May 30, 2008. Please submit all filled out applications to the Dahl Arts Center on the corner of 7th and Kansas City or mail to 713 7th Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
