The Dakota Dance
Company is presenting an exciting evening of dance at the Dahl in
August.
The company is made up of
talented dancers pulled from the Dance Studios in the Black Hills. The
performances will showcase the choreography of three regional artists
each bringing their unique blend of technique and vision to the stage.
The Artistic Director, Paul A. Burns,II vision is of a dance company in
the hills open to all forms of dance and movement and this group of
vibrant young, energetic dance are just the beginning.
The first piece is a light
hearted work about men, women, loss and healing choreographed by Paul A.
Burns, II to music from the eclectic jam-band Phish. Next will be an
experimental work by Janie Ewing. The show finale is a modern and
hip-hop exploration of the Shakespeare love story, Romeo and Juliet.
Tickets $15 each, or two for $20.
